Dear Go Folkestone Member
Subscriptions
Firstly, thank you to members who have recently paid their subscription – your subscription is due on the anniversary of the date that you started as a member, so there isn’t one date on which everyone is due. If in doubt, contact me and I’ll confirm when your renewal date is due.
Electrical Waste Recycling
Next, thank you so much to ALL the volunteers who arrived on Saturday to support the first collection day of electrical waste. The town mayor and other councillors attended, and we had an excellent contribution of electrical waste items that will now not go into landfill. Please advise all your friends, neighbours, family that we will be in Folkestone town centre every Saturday, 10am until 2pm, (opposite Boots, wearing our Go Folkestone high viz jackets!). If you feel that you can volunteer, even for 30 minutes to stand and talk to passers by about our project, then please contact Alison White – AlisonjWhite999@gmail.com or Mick Williamson mickwilliamson2020@gmail.com who will send you the rota to add your name and you will be added to our WhatsApp group for up to date information. We do need more names for the coming weeks.

Litter Pick
Another regular project is our Litter Pick which takes place on the last Friday of every month. Our next litter pick is on Friday 27th September, 2.00pm. We meet at the Leas Arch where Gary from FHDC will supply all with necessary equipment. Once again, just 30 minutes makes such a difference. For further information contact our Litter Pick Leader, Patty Key – mapleleaf242007@yahoo.co.uk We have both a WhatsApp group and also an email group so that any last minute changes can be communicated swiftly.
Date for following litter pick is 25 October and then 29 November. We have met in all weathers but on one occasion we had to call the monthly litter pick a wash out.
