This event will consist of a Service within the Church, the congregation will then move to the Churchyard for a prayer to be said at the graveside of Samuel Plimsoll, then back into the Church for a talk, this year by Alan Taylor of the Folkestone Fisherman Museum.  Refreshments will be served in the Church at the conclusion of the talk.

In attendance, will be the Folkestone Town Mayor, civic dignitaries, Councillors, Standard Bearers, descendants of Samuel Plimsoll and members of the public.  Mayors are invited to lay a wreath.

The Town Mayor Elect 2025-26, Councillor Lucy McGirr, would be delighted if you were able to join her in commemorating Samuel Plimsoll, the Sailors Friend.  Mrs Georgina Wilson would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance.
