Multi – Cultural Festival and Edwardian Picnic on The Leas

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Friends of East Kent Buses and the 50th Anniversary of the New Folkestone Society there will be an Edwardian Picnic outside The Grand witha saxophone quartet playing. Learn about all transport heritage and enjoy the two buses on display and a free ride in a vintage bus,

Craft, art, food and drink stalls with a selection of food from around the world.

Traditional nd contemporary music and dance performances from locan and national artists

Music on the day will include:

11.00a.m Nepalese Community; 12noon Tequila Band (inspired by Herb Alpert and Tijuana Brass); 3.00 -5.00p.m. Mampama (African pop songs and fusion music)

Outside the Grand:

12.00noon Alright On The Night (Saxonphone Quartet); 2.30p.m. Ashford Concert Band.
