Grand Closing Party – Folkestone Music in May Festival is back for it’s 2nd year in full effect.Award winning, World famous artist Derrick McKenzie (from Jamiroquai) takes over the decks at The Quarterhouse, Folkestone for Music in May Festival Closing Party.

An acclaimed drummer + songwriter with an Ivor Novello, Grammy, and accolades from MTV, BMI, MOBO, and Billboard Music Awards under his belt, Derrick has just as much skill disc jockeying, gaining prominence since 2004 when he spun at Jamiroquai’s afterparties carving a unique format of DJing and drumming with the sounds of disco funk. His DJ style encompasses Soulful House, Jackin House, Tech House, and various genres spanning the decades.

Joining Derrick are acclaimed party starters Sophia Syndicate and local favorite Cherry Disco, promising an electrifying atmosphere.

The event’s theme is centered around disco and funk, with prizes awaiting the most stylish outfits and grooviest dancers.
