Drama at the Academy
On
Friday 8th February I went to the Folkestone Academy to enjoy a pantomime with
some classmates. We were joined by two other primary schools from Folkestone.
The pantomime was Jack and the Beanstalk performed by drama students from the
Academy.
The
costumes were funny and Jack’s grandmother wore a long golden wig. The Giant was
very well played by what must have been the smallest kid in the school with a
very deep voice.
The music didn’t seem to fit the characters, which made it extremely amusing.
The granny was dancing to Rap. It was strange that boys played girls and girls
played boys but that is pantomime and the granny, a boy, and everyone else were
very good. The audience laughed a lot at the really funny script that was
crammed with a lot of good jokes. We all had a great time.
