Congratulations to all those who were successfully elected to Folkestone Town
and Shepway District Councils in the local elections.
Go Folkestone did not field candidates as our action of setting up the town
council was complete, although some felt they would like to continue
Four of us decided to run again but as Independents and we were very pleased to
hear that Richard Wallace, chair of Go Folkestone’s Environment and Buildings
Committee was successful.
Although three of us were unsuccessful this time, we would like to thank all
those who voted for and supported us throughout this campaign. We have all been
proud to serve you over the last three years on the Town Council, and are most
grateful for the support shown to us.
We will continue working for the people of Folkestone through our involvement
with, Go Folkestone Action Group, and our many commitments to other
organisations in the town.
There is still much to do, with exciting times ahead of us.
