League of Friends
The League of Friends are a group of people who voluntarily
run the 'coffee shop' in the Royal Victoria Hospital. We are situated opposite
the X-ray Department and provide drinks, tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes, sweets
to patients and their friends and families. It's a very pleasant place to while
away the time waiting for your appointments and just ask and we will help in any
way we can - always with a smile!
We also have books and bric-a-brac so you can spend time browsing through. We
don't mind how long you linger in our domain as you are all very welcome and all
the money taken is donated back into the hospital. This provides essential
equipment not covered by the NHS funds, so please do come along and help us to
help you.
