Folkestone Invicta Youth
Folkestone Invicta Youth have their roots in Central and East
Folkestone which has four of Kent’s most socially and economically deprived
wards. Many of the children that attend football coaching are unable to afford
the more commercially run operations that have been in Folkestone in recent
years. Invicta only charge a fee that covers pitch hire so parents and young
people benefit from low costs.
The coaching/training environment encourages not only individual development but
reinforces the importance of team building, development and fun. Many children
have for the first time in their lives achieved personal and team objectives and
have also gained experience and confidence and it is hoped that in the future
there will be more volunteers from the children themselves.
Folkestone Invicta Youth have 17 football teams ranging from under 7 through to
under 18 years of age. We also have our own girls/women coaching evening
providing training for girls from 8 to 18+ in the hope to have our first female
side for the 2007-8 season.
