presents a talk by Matt Rowe Back for a Future

at 7.30 for 8pm start
with questions and discussions afterwards Matt Rowe is a young artist who
has returned to Folkestone, attracted by The opportunity to be involved in
the creative regeneration of the town. Following his experiences of Cardiff
and its final phase of regeneration this was a chance not to be missed.
Matt aims are to cultivate an engaging cultural scene, by accommodating and
curating exhibitions with a strong local reference, attracting a broad
demographic to contemporary art. Matt will talk about his aims and
developments so far, focusing on the development of Tontine Street, how
Contemporary art can be used as a tool to understand the heritage of our
town. Matt is the founder of Club Shepway – non profit club society that
promotes music / art / writing and is encompassing dialog. He also runs the
B&B Project space. The talk will also include images from Matt’s ongoing
photographic archive, images that capture the demise of the traditional
