Support the Lydd Airport Development
It is very important that Shepway moves fully into the 21st
century and reaps ALL the rewards that can be available such as, more tourists,
more jobs, more businesses and therefore more money flowing into and around the
local economy.

Care and Repair of our Historic Church Buildings
Churches are a valuable part of our heritage and a major
tourist attraction, yet the funding of repairs is left to the parish in which
the building is situated. Thus the cost of maintaining a national asset is left
to the minority. This is grossly unfair and should be rectified. A
petition has been started by by Mr W.G.Blake.

This link will take you to the No 10 website where you will
find a petition asking the government to assist in the care and repair of our
historic church buildings. If you support the idea, perhaps you could click on
the link and sign the petition. You will then by return get an email back from
No 10 which you should click on to confirm that there is a real person for that
email address!
If you are even more motivated, please forward the link on to any friends you
think might be sympathetic.
Thank you – 8,500 signatures when I looked tonight, by the way, so you will have
plenty of company!
